   Mark 3:7-19   
      
   The Crowd at the Seaside   
      
   7 (Mt 4:25; Lk 6:17) Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea.   
   And a great crowd followed Him from Galilee and Judea   
   8 (Eze 35:15; Isa 34:5) and Jerusalem, and Idumea, and from beyond the Jordan.   
   And those from Tyre and Sidon, a great crowd, when they heard   
   what great things He did, came to Him.   
   9 He told the disciples to have a small boat ready for Him   
   because of the crowd, lest they should crush Him.   
   10 (Mt 14:36; Mk 6:56) For He had healed many, so that all who had diseases   
   pressed on Him to touch Him.   
   11 (Mt 4:3; 14:33) When unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him,   
   crying out, "You are the Son of God."   
   12 (Mt 12:16; Mk 1:25) But He sternly ordered them not to make Him known.

   The Choosing of the Twelve Apostles

   13 He went up into the mountain and called to Him those whom He desired,   
   and they came to Him.   
   14 He ordained twelve to be with Him, and to be sent out to preach,

   for they shall inherit the earth.

   Ministering to a Great Crowd

   17 (Mt 11:21) He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd   
   of His disciplesand a great crowd of people from all Judea and Jerusalem,   
   and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him   
   and be healed of their diseases,   
   18 including those who were vexed by unclean spirits. And they were healed.
