Here is a synthesis summary of the book of Ruth, from various sources.

The book of Ruth reveals God’s providential grace shining in the moral
darkness of the judges’ era. When Israel lived without a king and every
man did what was right in his own eyes, God quietly worked through the
faith and loyalty of a Moabite widow and a godly Israelite man to
advance His redemptive plan (Reed 415–18; Wechsler 391–93; McGreevy
   333–34).

The narrative moves from famine, loss, and bitterness to fullness,
marriage, and joy, demonstrating that divine purpose often unfolds
   through the ordinary acts of human faithfulness (Wiersbe Ru; Brooks 56;
   Holman 395).

Ruth’s steadfast devotion to Naomi and to Israel’s God shows that faith
transcends ancestry and that Gentiles who seek the Lord find a place in
His covenant family (Reed 415–18; Wechsler 391–93; Beetham and Erickson
   221).

Boaz, the kinsman-redeemer, reflects God’s own covenant love (hesed)
expressed in mercy, responsibility, and grace that go beyond obligation.
His redemption of Ruth not only restored her life and Naomi’s lineage
but also pointed forward to Christ, the greater Redeemer who, in love,
takes the helpless as His bride and secures eternal rest for His people
   (McGreevy 333–34; Wechsler 391–93; Reed 415–18).

The book thus teaches that true rest and blessing come through
redemption and union with the Redeemer (Brooks 56). Through Ruth’s
faith, Boaz’s integrity, and Naomi’s renewal, God reveals that His
faithfulness continues even when His people falter, and that His plan of
salvation extends to all who trust in Him (Wiersbe Ru; Holman 395; Reed
   415–18).

   --
Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (†), and God
   raised Him from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death
satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John
2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your
sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).
