   Heb 2:4 (ESV)   
      
   4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and   
   by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.   
      
   This scripture was also written after the book of Galatians. Which was also   
   used as a cutoff point by the user who supports the cessation of the Grace,   
   Mercy, and by their own thinking states that the work of God in the sacrifice   
   of The Lord Jesus Christ was severely limited and not sufficient to meet all   
   our needs. By default that would mean the the promises of God the the   
   Israelite that lasted during the time of the Mosaic Covenant was far superior   
   than the New Covenant of His Blood. Yet the scripture teaches us that....   
   “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is   
   no respecter of persons:” (Act 10:34)   
      
   This is the only scripture in the NT were the two words were even in the same   
   verse.   
      
   The following statement is my a nameless entity who posts in these NG’s.   
      
   "The sign gifts like tongues, healings, and miracles are what ceased after   
   they confirmed the gospel, just as the Bible indicated they would.”   
      
   There is no such wording in the NT. This whole idea or thought is contrary to   
   the Word of God, and opposes a full part of why Jesus Christ died for us.   
      
   I am going to post just a little bit of scripture to show what Jesus Bore as   
   he was being sacrificed for all of mankind so that they can be freed of sin.   
   Have power over it.   
      
   Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our   
   iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes   
   we are healed.   
      
   1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we,   
   being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were   
   healed.   
      
   Stripes can also be defined as wounds that bleed. In both Hebrew an koine   
   Greek.   
      
   One has to then ask themselves, are they blasphemers of the Holy Ghost? Since   
   they claim that these gifts are of the Holy Ghost, but have since ceased,   
   then are all the current manifestation’s of these gifts of God or the Evil   
   one?   
      
   I do remember one recent well known Pastor declared that speaking in tongues   
   was of the devil. And he of all people should have known better that to say   
   that. But that is another topic albeit a gift from the very same God that   
   Gifts his children.
