It is eternal death, not life.

Life spiritually speaking is with God the Father an all of who he is. Death
is the total absence of anything good, pleasant, healing, kind, love, etc.

In reality you send yourself there by the choices you make.the big one is
denying that Jesus is God, in combination for not making Him Lord of your
   life.

As it is, because of the fall of man, everyone is born into a world of sin
(without God in their fleshly nature) and since your body, the fleshly part
of you, has a tendency to favor itself over all else it seeks its pleasure.
Those in Jesus Christ are given a new divine nature, made new creatures in
Christ Jesus. They are made/given the righteousness of God the Father.
Empowered by the Holy Ghost in all things Godly. From that point on we are
expected to renew our minds in the ways of Jesus Christ, it every way. For
that reason we are considered “babes in Christ”. From there we grow,
mature, or not, depending on your level of commitment, self controls, fasting
and prayer in conjunction with studying the entire bible. Prayer in the
spirit is Key, as well as singing praises in the spirit.

You should give your life to Jesus, those who deny Him he will deny before
The Heavenly Father and Angles. There is peace within when one places their
faith in Jesus Christ. A peace that far exceeds human understanding.
