XPost: alt.religion.christian, alt.religion.jehovahs-witn       From: usenet@christrose.news              James claims Jesus is “a god,” denies His eternal deity, denies His       equality with the Father, and denies that John 1:1 teaches the full       deity of the Word. The lie he slips in here is simple and consistent:              He tries to hide the denial of Christ’s deity by redefining the word       “deity” to mean “a lesser divine being,” while Scripture uses       “God” for       the one true eternal Creator. He inserts the NWT mistranslation “a god”       to justify a creature-Christ, then builds his entire argument around       that false premise.              He then appeals to Colossians 1:15 and uses “firstborn” as if it means       “first created,” while ignoring the context that defines Christ as the       Creator of all things, the One in whom all things hold together       (Colossians 1:16–17, ESV).              He pretends to affirm the whole Bible while rejecting every passage that       teaches Christ’s full deity, His eternal existence, His equality with       the Father, and His role as Jehovah Himself.              He also tries to dodge the force of passages that identify Jesus as       Jehovah by inserting the NWT’s altered text and then shifting the       conversation to the 144,000 to distract from the contradictions.              He claims that “we witness for Jehovah and His Son,” but then denies       that the Son shares the nature, glory, and attributes of the Father,       even though Scripture says:              “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word       was God” (John 1:1, ESV).              This directly dismantles the lie he is trying to sneak into the discussion.                     --       Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (†), and God       raised Him from the dead?              That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death       penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death       satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John       2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your       sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.              On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on       the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name       of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).              https://christrose.news/salvation              To automatically receive daily Bible teaching updates with colorful       images and website formatting, subscribe to my feed in a client like       Thunderbird:              https://www.christrose.news/feeds/posts/default              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
