XPost: alt.christnet.christianlife, alt.religion.christian, alt.       eligion.christian.east-orthodox       XPost: alt.religion.jehovahs-witn, alt.messianic       From: .robert@mu.way              The difference between the spirit filled Believer in Jesus, and those that       are without.              In this case a good substitute for the word “For” is "Because"              May the Heavenly Father give us the eyes to see, and the ears to hear what       the Lord is speaking to us.              Rom 8:1 There is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who       walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit;              Rom 8:2 for the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus did set me free       from the law of the sin and of the death;              *Rom 8:3 for what the law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the       flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for       sin, did condemn the sin in the flesh,              Rom 8:4 that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not       walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.*              Rom 8:5 For those who are according to the flesh, the things of the flesh do       mind; and those according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit;              Rom 8:6 for the mind of the flesh is death, and the mind of the Spirit—life       and peace;              Rom 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity to God, for to the law of God       it doth not subject itself,              Rom 8:8 for neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able       to please God.              Rom 8:9 And ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit       of God doth dwell in you; and if any one hath not the Spirit of Christ—this       one is not His;              Rom 8:10 and if Christ is in you, the body, indeed, is dead because of sin,       and the Spirit is life because of righteousness,              Rom 8:11 and if the Spirit of Him who did raise up Jesus out of the dead doth       dwell in you, He who did raise up the Christ out of the dead shall quicken       also your dying bodies, through His Spirit dwelling in you.              In the ancient days, before Christ, the Israelites were dwelling in this       natural world, without the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. (Although there were       priests, prophets, etc. who were anointed with the Holy Spirit and upon them       He rested and that anointing could be removed. King Saul was an example of       that)              Those that sought to please God would wear constant reminders on their       bodies, as well as between the eyes of what the Written Law said, to help cut       down on their sinning ways. Since the Law of God is contrary to the desires       of our bodies, it was a burden to many as they did not delight, as a rule, in       God.              Just review the scriptures above and see what all the natural desires of men       are. Which speaks of the mind, soul, and body of mankind How it is contrary       to the ways of God and seeks to be self serving, and that also includes       religiosity in order to placate the conscience of the sin dwelling in them.       Yes, it is that ’nagging’ conscience that God put in man as a       reminder/motivator to seek the Almighty God. Which can be seared via an       overwhelming desire to fill the desires of our flesh until in no longer nags       us, Instead we become deafened to the spirit of God with all our excuses       creating a hardened heart because of our desires.              Then look at these same scriptures in regards to that same being who was Born       Again and filled with the Holy Spirit. The other comforter. Then look at the       freedom from sin, freed from the desire to sin or placate the body and its       desires, now rendered yo the back burners so that we can be dwelling with the       righteousness of God, and renewed in our minds that now can operate in a way       pleasing to God, PLUS we can also enjoy the satisfaction of walking according       to the desires of the Heavenly Father. Why or How? Through walking in the       Spirit of God, who know dwells inside of us. With the Fulness of God.. It now       becomes our pleasurable desire to fulfill the word of God because we are not       only empowered to do so, but He via His Holy Spirit guides us in our daily       walk. Enabling us to walk with Love. Not some fake fraudulent love, and many       feign, but a true Loving Kindness to those around us, especially to those who       dwell in the flock of Christ Jesus. It becomes a full part of our nature,       yes, a divine nature, as it was given us By the Heavenly Father. Do NOT Turn       away from this, repent if you have fallen away and be restored as the       Prodigal Son was restored.              Be mindful of verses 5-9 especially verse 9 and then walk in the Spirit with       Joy as found in V 10,11.              Then it will be that when you partake of Communion you will truly enjoy it       with thanksgiving knowing that God dwells in you, and freed you from your       sinning ways, habits, etc. that once so easily led you astray from God.              --              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
