That's not reverse logic. That's you trying to apply the same exact
stupid, no common-sense argument to the word cross as you do staurus.

The reverse of your argument that it doesn't have a cross-beam unless
the text says it has a cross beam, would be to claim it has a cross-beam
   unless it says it doesn't.

   Pay attention:

"Boat", because it says "boat", does not necessitate "without oars". It
doesn't change the meaning of the word "boat" to observe that the "boat"
has "oars". "Oars" don't change "boat" into something other than a
"boat". We know the boat had "oars" without it specifying that it had
"oars", because it says they "rowed" the boat. It's still a "boat" if
you have "oars" on the boat. Get it?

Your stupid claim is that somehow, it can't be a "pole", if there's a
cross-beam attached to the pole. Yes, that is not common sense. That is
abject stupidity and lack of common sense, hypocritically fabricating
   false standards.

Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (†), and God
   raised Him from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death
penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death
satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John
2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your
sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).
