   Offerings for the Tabernacle   
      
   Ex 35:4-9   
      
   1 The Lord said to Moses:   
   2 (Ezr 2:68; 2Co 9:7) Tell the children of Israel to bring Me an offering.   
   From every man who gives willingly with his heart you shall receive   
   My offering.   
   3 This is the offering which you shall take from them:   
    gold, silver, and bronze,   
   4 blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair,   
   5 rams' skins dyed red, porpoise skins, acacia wood,   
   6 (Ex 27:20) oil for the light, spices for anointing oil   
    and for fragrant incense,   
   7 (Ex 28:4) onyx stones, and stones to be set   
   in the ephod and in the breastplate.   
   8 (Ex 29:45; 1Ki 6:13)Let them make Me   
   a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.   
   9 (Ex 25:40; Heb 8:5) According to all that I show you   
   -the pattern of the tabernacle   
   and the pattern of all its furniture   
   -you shall make it just so.   
      
   [1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,   
   [2] Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of

   [6] Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,   
   [7] Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.   
   [8] And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.   
   [9] According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle,   
   and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.   
      
   The Ark of the Covenant   
      
   Ex 37:1-9 (God's microphone)   
      
   10 (Heb 9:4; Ex 37:1-3) They shall make an ark of acacia wood   
    two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide,   
   and one and a half cubits high(.About 3 feet long,   
   11/2 feet wide, and 21/4 feet high,   
   or 90 centimeters long, 45 centimeters wide, and 68 centimeters high. )   
   11 (Ex 25:24; 30:3) You shall overlay it with pure gold,   
   inside and out shall you overlay it,   
   and you shall make a gold border around it.   
   12 You shall cast four gold rings for it and put them   
   on the four feet with two rings on the one side of it   
   and two rings on the other side of it.   
   13 You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.   
   14 You shall put the poles into the rings on   
   the sides of the ark in order to carry the ark with them.   
   15 (1Ki 8:8) The poles must remain in the rings of the ark.   
    They must not be removed from it.   
   16 (Dt 31:26; 1Ki 8:9) You shall put into the ark the testimony   
    which I shall give you.   
   17 (Ex 37:6; Ro 3:25) You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold,   
   two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.   
   18 You shall make two cherubim of gold,   
   make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat.   
   19 Make one cherub on the one end and the other cherub on the other end.   
   From the mercy seat you shall make the cherubim on its two ends.   
   20 (1Ki 8:7; 1Ch 28:18) The cherubim shall stretch forth their wings upward,   
   covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another.   
   The faces of the cherubim are to face toward the mercy seat.   
   21 (Ex 26:34) You shall put the mercy seat above upon the ark,   
   and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you.   
   22 (Ex 29:42-43; Nu 7:89) I will meet with you there,   
   and I will meet with you from above the mercy seat,   
    from between the two cherubim which are   
   upon the ark of the testimony.   
   I will speak with you all that I will command you   
    for the children of Israel.   
      
   [10] And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall   
   be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit   
   and a half the height thereof.   
   [11] And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou   
   overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.   
   [12] And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four   
   corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings   
   in the other side of it.   
   [13] And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.   
   [14] And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark,   
   that the ark may be borne with them.   
   [15] The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken   
   from it.   
   [16] And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.   
   [17] And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half   
   shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.   
   [18] And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou   
   make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.   
   [19] And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other   
   end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends   
   thereof.   
   [20] And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the   
   mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another;   
   toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.   
   [21] And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark   
   thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.   
   [22] And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from   
   above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark   
   of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto   
   the children of Israel.   
      
   The Table for the Showbread   
      
   Ex 37:10-16   
      
   23 (Ex 37:10-16; Heb 9:2) You shall also make a table of acacia wood,   
   two cubits long, one cubit wide, and a half cubit high.   
   (About 6 1/4 pounds, or 2.9 kilograms. )   
   24 (Ex 25:11) You shall overlay it with pure gold   
   and make a gold border around it.   
   25 You shall make a border around it of a handbreadth,   
   and you shall make a gold molding for the frame all around.   
   26 You shall make four gold rings for it   
   and put the rings on the four corners that are on its four feet.   
   27 The rings shall be close to the frame to provide places   
   for the poles to carry the table.   
   28 You shall make the poles of acacia wood   
   and overlay them with gold, so that the table may be carried with them.   
   29 (Nu 4:7; Ex 37:16) You shall make the dishes, its spoons, its pitchers,   
   and its bowls with which to pour drink offerings.   
   You shall make them of pure gold.   
   30 (Ex 39:36) You shall set the showbread on the table before Me always.   
      
   [23] Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the   
   length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the   
   height thereof.   
   [24] And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of   
   gold round about.   
   [25] And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about,
