I find it strange that you could be so right wing _and_ like Orwell.
Hello?? I came to Orwell from the left, from reading his incisive
social commentary. I dont like to see his name and beliefs abused and
misrepresented by extreme right wingers. I see his vision of 1984
_very_ like what Bush is trying to do with the world; the perpetual
war on terror, the crackdown on civil liberties, the subliminal
racism caused against Muslims, Guantanamo bay, an very abusive army
(reminds me what the facsists used to do when they invaded Russia, but
I expect you think what they did was good as they were
anti-bolshevik). If you cant see those parallels, and all you can see
is an attack on Socialism instead of Stalinism, I am afraid _you_ are
the one who is misguided and very confused. I suppose you think
   Mcarthyism was beneficial as well?

There are 'visciously evil' people in the world; people who rip
countries to shreds, impose puppet regimes, visciously abuse indigenous
peoples and then allow their business interests to guide thier
thinking in place of any humanitarian & caring ideas. Sounds like a
   neo-conservative blueprint, dont you think?

Time to take a good look at your country, instead of harping on about
your confused ideas on the world, because let me tell you, you simply
dont understand how it works (unless it involves making a profit). If
you solution to 9/11 is to cause even more untold misery and suffering
on people who cannot fight back, which is the case, to eradicate civil
liberties (patriot act) and so on, then there is something very, very
wrong and worrying. Its hardly surprising Americans are treated with
the disdain they deserve today. As I said, Orwell is turning in his
   grave.
