Muslims and democracy do not mix. As we can see from recent history,
whenever Muslims societies experiment with democracy the result is
always the same: the Muslims immediately vote to install Islamic
Sharia law, and Sharia puts a stop to democracy. Sharia does not
believe in democratic rule by the people, but rather absolute rule
by self-appointed clerics and ayatollahs whose only qualifications
is that they put rags on their heads and memorized a few verses
from the Koran. And aside from voting, democracy also implies the
free expression and exchange of ideas, something else completely
contrary to Islam. There is no free thought in Islam, just
something resembling Orwell's "Ingsoc" or orthodoxy from "1984."
There can be no intellecutal debate in Islamic societies because
there is no idependent thought, as every concept in Islam is
derived from the Koran. Even debating apparently contradictory
verses of the Koran is impossible, as they have adopted Orwell's
method of "doublethink," so both contradictory verses become
true in Muslim minds. And these are the people who think they
   can participate in American democracy?
