   Why waste so many words on the obvious?   
   But just to add a point on the situation in Iraqi Kurdistan.   
      
   The kurds offered their selfruled enclave as a launching point for the   
   inasion and have faitfully supported the various corrupt nitwits  (Alawi   
   et al) placed in "power" by the occupying power(s). Kurd leaders Barzani   
   and Talabani have even been busy restrainign their own followers from   
   demanding to full selfdetermination, return to kurdish control of the   
   arabized (by Saddam) cities of Kirkuk and Mosul etc.   
      
   Now The US State Department  - big surprise, eh? - is denying any   
   commitment to comtinued selfrule in the kurdish north.   
      
   Kurds once again used as a tool by big powers in the middle east, and   
   ending up with less than they had.
