   Excess and off topic groups trimmed   
   A lot of News servers are starting to enforce G5 or G6   
   protocols restricting the number of xposted groups (to   
   5 or 6 respectively). Others are more restrictive to 4,   
   3 and aol - none.   
      
   This provides those of us using servers employing G5   
   and G6 etc, with a conundrum - Which group is "home" to   
   the poster to whom I'm responding? and which groups can   
   I safely trim?   
      
   I daresay if you originally cut your list to  5 or 6 -   
   you will get the same response to the thread as you   
   would with ten.
