   What a bizzare sentiment.  Such equations between liberalism (the USA is   
   founded on liberal doctrine, you realize.  Libertas, freedom.. in latin.   
   The basis of the US constitution is liberalism.. don't forget) and stalinism   
   (which by the end of WW2, was an ultranationalistic tyrrany, similar to the   
   USA's current governmental system) is jsut bizzare.   
      
   Also, canada didn't and couldn't possibly kill of 100 million natives.   
   There have never been that many in north and south america combined.  It's   
   certainly true that there is a higher suicide rate among Canada's native   
   population, but there is a higher suicide rate among poor minorities   
   everywhere.   
      
   As far as pure murder of natives goes, the american "indian wars" i think   
   set the example of savage and pointless slaughter.  Canada's "indian wars"   
   were.. oh wait, canada had no indian wars.  Canada opted for treaties and   
   reservations.. restricting alcahol access, kidnapping children and raising   
   them in boarding schools.. yep.. canada has done just about every bad thing   
   to the natives, except hunt them to near extinction.  That was the US   
   cavalry's approach.   
      
   Now, in canada, there are large areas of Native Self government.  It's   
   interesting to note that in those areas in BC, and the former NW   
   territories, the suicide rates aren't dropping significantly.   
      
   Also, lastly, and this should be clear to ANYONE.  The weblink you posted is   
   by no means an authoritative information source.  You can't just read   
   someone's personal opinion website and then use that as some sort of   
   "Evidence" of your anti-canadian racism.   
      
   Xenophobia is silly.  So many americans I meet call canadians socialists...   
   why?  Why?  Have you ever been to canada?  Do you know what it's like here?   
   You really think it's all that different from the USA?  canadians like to   
   deceive themselves, but the only difference between canada and the USA is   
   that in canada, we have very middling quality healthcare available for free   
   to everyone, whereas in the USA you have extremely high quality health care,   
   available to some at a high cost.   
      
   Other than that, i gotta say, it's basically the same.  We're both   
   freemarket capitalist societies.  Infact, Ontario, where I live, has some of   
   the lowest regulations on business of any political area in north america.   
   it's beaten only by Texas in terms of pollution laws!  Only texas has more   
   relaxed pollution laws than ontario, that's right, in canada!  clearly, we   
   stalinists, we socialists, are so concerned about managing the economy that   
   we let agribusinesses spray with chemicals that are outlawed in most of the   
   50 american states, but in ontario, go ahead, buy our apples, you'll be   
   eating poisons that haven't been used in europe EVER (banned from the day   
   they were invented).   
      
   Anyone who calls canada socialist is RETARDED, strictly speaking.  Canada is   
   a smaller, more boring, clone of the USA.  Populated by ignoramuses who   
   somehow think they are NOT like americans, while they guzzle coke and stuff   
   burgers down their maws.  "I hate george bush" says a woman from Kitchener,   
   "and why are gas prices so high?  Who can afford these prices?!  They should   
   lower them.  Oh well, at least I don't live in the states... "   
      
   The canada vs. america thing is totally contrived, and part of a nationlist   
   agenda.  Nationlism is stupid, it has no basis in anything, and if you find   
   yourself defending political bodies against other political bodies without   
   any real information, take a breath, stop, walk away, and kill yourself.
