   That's one way of looking at it.  Though, if say, Al gore had been in the   
   white house, and 9/11 went off the same as it did in real life, do you think   
   the USA would have been attacked successfully?  I mean.  Bush, Gore, any   
   president would have beefed up security, attacked afghanistan.  Bush was   
   just the guy in office when it happened.  Probably sure Gore wouldn't have   
   attacked iraq though...   
      
   Also, much of what bush's legacy is increased government secrecy, a new high   
   in media spin.. i mean.. real big brother type activities.   
      
   Saying bush didn't create any newspeak is a little daft, no?  Everything out   
   of that guy's mouth is the opposite of what he means.  "We're bringing   
   freedom" he might say about iraq.. but he brought war to iraq.  What is the   
   first slogan of the party?  War is peace?   
      
   I dunno.. i can't immagine you actually read 1984.
