   Woody Guthrie. Finds himself hailed the new messiah. Gets bored of it after   
   a while and also has a crisis of confidence because the act is a taking over   
   and songs are getting over analyzed ( the ventriloquist dummy talking back).   
   Takes a lot of drugs. Fakes a motorbike crash to avoid major touring   
   commitments. Emerges eventually in a new mode, alternately misanthropic,   
   obscure and pious. Accepts his own deification.
