   Pinter has got the Nobel Prize for Literature. This doesn't surprise me. In   
   Hollywood when someone's on their last go round you get Schnozzle Durante or   
   Mickey Rooney wheeled on for a lifetime achievement award. In Europe you   
   need more serious matter under your belt and Pinter will do nicely. Not   
   taking it away from him though, the plays up until a certain point were   
   revolutionary and brilliant, especially if you accept Kafka as Little   
   Richard to Pinter's Paul McCartney. Something of a one trick pony though,   
   and the usual problem with the left: they can only see fascism if it's   
   white.   
    It's the sixth form leftism of the man and those poems of adolescent   
   shitness that won the Wilfred Owen award last year that fuck me off. Still   
   Harold will arrive in Valhalla laden with the best trophies that the   
   leftocentric cultural bodies of Europe can provide. Then he can settle to a   
   game of cricket with the Pansy Left Cricketeers; look out Harold, that's   
   Kingers bowling, he's very red in the face and looks like he came out of the   
   pavilion running with the ball in his hand.
