   I email him occasionally when I think he's said something right - and when I   
   think he's said something wrong. We had a good conversation about Orwell   
   recently where he deigned to agree with some of my comments about the Lion   
   and the Unicorn. Like Hitch Major says he's very clear-eyed and Cromwellian
