|    Aspects of Leftism V: I'm sorry, but it     |

From: thesofa@dooooooooooowqwqawsasaw.com              I saw a former stalwart lefty of this newsgroup over at Alan 'Airbrush'       Allport's Horizon blog, preaching a dour/happy/squishy-inside sermon about       how Orwell loved socialism and the fact that it is manifestly obvious that       he would have loathed a great deal that Project Marx (caff, decaff and       mocchino varities) has done in the last 56 years is neither here nor there:       his principal works are loving rebukes to a movement that he was most       uxoriously wrapped up and anyone who doesn't think so is a Blue Meany. Then       I looked at the Lynnette Burrows case, detailed below in a Spectator peice,       and I laughed sardonically about what our former stalwart was saying. Orwell       would quite easily have extrapolated from this incident what has happened in       England: a slow motion coup de 'tat by the Pansy Left and if he would have       been up for *that*, then I'm a fucking kraut.              Read it and weep:              http://www.spectator.co.uk/online_article.php?id=122              TA TA!              ROBBIE              --       'Negligence and irregularity long continued will make knowledge useless, wit       ridiculous, and genius contemptible.'       Samuel Johnson       -       word_chemist@hotmail.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
