   Considering what goes on in that country it isn't very critical at all. The   
   way I see it is this: the BBC sees itself as a world media source and   
   campaigning left-of-centre force. OK, on that basis it should be exposing   
   the poverty, cruelty and human rights abuses of a country like China but   
   it's far more interested in the USA where even you - i hope - have to admit   
   things aren't so bad as in China. So it even deserts its own politically   
   correct agenda when it suits.

   What do you mean? Rageh Omar in the radio times a while ago seemed quite   
   happy to be going to Al Jazeera and would still be making the odd programme   
   for the Beeb.
