From: word_chemist@hotmail.com              Will Self in the Evening Standard last night said the Leneghan case 'turned       his stomach' yet, as a confirmed leftist, came to the conclusion that it was       all *our* fault because Michael Johnson had been in care and smoked crack.       Self pushed the envelope - for bien pensant lefties - by saying that Johnson       had been exposed to a 'macho gun culture' but went no further. In a way it       is our fault: Self should have added that black culture has become obsessed       with violence and misogyny, is blighted by a cult of absent fathers,       braggadocio and mindless priapism and has been put beyond criticism by       cultural marxism. He could have added what the black social worker said on       the radio two days ago, that society is now arranged so that a boy can reach       his majority without ever experiencing anyone standing up to him and having       morality demonstrated I'm waiting for Decca Aitkenhead in the Guardian to       write a peice saying it's all caused by the colonial sugar plantations in       the West Indies:                            'They were bundled into the boot of Adams' Nissan Almera and driven to the       Abbey House Hotel in Connaught Road where they were cruelly tortured at       Thomas's direction - burnt with cigarettes, drugged, raped and had boiling       water thrown over them.                     Prosecutor Richard Latham said Thomas got "a certain bizarre and sadistic       satisfaction out of giving permission to hurt them".                     In the early hours of May 7 they were driven less than a mile to Prospect       Park, where pillow cases were pulled over their heads but Mary Ann's friend       was still able to see the schoolgirl executed in a savage flurry of 40 knife       wounds.                     The friend was then shot in the head at point blank range - the bullet       amazingly failing to penetrate her skull but splintering into 20 fragments.                     Left for dead, she still managed to scramble to her feet and stagger into       Tilehurst Road, where at 5am she was spotted by cleaner Desmond Goddard.                     All six men will automatically receive life terms, but Mr Justice       Penry-Davey has the power to set the minimum number of years they serve. He       adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports until April 28.'              http://icberkshire.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0200berkshireheadlines/tm_object       id=16853016&method=full&siteid=50102&headline=sobs-from-the-gallery-as-mary-       ann-jury-gives-its-verdicts-name_page.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
