   In all three translations, Squealer (like, I suppose, the other   
   animals) keeps his English name.  A while ago I browsed in a couple of   
   émigré Russian translations, and in both of them, the humans kept   
   their English names, but the animals were given Russian names.  In one   
   of them, Squealer became Vizgun, which is the actual translation, but   
   in the other, he was ingeniously called Fiskal, which is slang for a   
   police spy!
