This from the April 2006 guide to my local 'Cultural Centre':

   'Discover Islam
   25 April -31 May

The exhibition aims to provide artistic interpretation and insight to some
of the core concepts of Islam and more specifically explore the theme of the
   Five Pillars of Islam:

Testimony - bearing witness to the Divine
Prayer - private conversation with the Lord
Fasting - abstinence of physical needs in the pursuit of spiritual goals
Pilgrimage - journey of the heart and soul to the House of God
Charity - repsonsive to the needs of others.'

Now, a few months ago, a couple were warned by the police that they were
encouraging homophobia by asking if they could place christian leaflets next
to leaflets which gave information about homosexuality in their local
   cultural centre.

   Socialism roolz, man.
