I bought that when it came out in 1978, believe it or not. Slow Train
Coming was the name of the album.

I was pretty poor back then but usually managed to save enough to buy a
new a cassette every few months or so to listen to in my car. It was
pretty much a hit or miss thing back then, whether you'd actually like
the rest of the stuff you'd never had a chance to hear first. Maybe
you'd get to listen to a few of the songs on an album oriented radio
station first if you were lucky.

I was well out of my Christian phase, mostly agnostic, but starting to
get into the eastern religious stuff. So the message Bob was putting out
was definitely not to my taste at the time.

But overall, some very solid blues. I think he got a Grammy for it.
