   You are assuming that since they are socialist they do not support   
   human rights.  That has nothing to do with it.   
      
   Having a benevolent dictator ( if a dictator is present) helps as   
   castro did in cuba.  Much to their misfortune castro died and his   
   replacements have not had his good intentions.
