   Maybe
Go to work, go home, don't come back till your next shift
On pay day you get a check. That's it that is all you get.

It is transactional. Boss is buying the hours of your life, the same
as you buy groceries, and walk out of the door to your car. End of
   transaction.

As a traditional slave, you at least get to live with your Boss's
family. They might even treat you well, say good morning and stuff.

Wouldn't I rather sell the hours of my life for a piece of paper, and
never get any good mornings? Not really. I don't think either is a
very good deal, there is nothing to prefer either way.
