   ...and we should take heed. It was a love letter to Europe on   
   Valentine's Day   
      
      
   The Secretary of State gave the most important speech on Western   
   civilisation in a generation. He got a standing ovation. He meant every   
   word. And Europe needs to hear it. We should want our interdependence,   
   we should want our alliance, we should defend our civilization. Together.   
      
   Marco Rubio walked into the Munich Security Conference this morning and   
   did something nobody in that room expected. He made them proud to be   
   Western again.   
      
   The same conference that last year sat in stunned silence as JD Vance   
   tore strips off European leaders — attacking their immigration policies,   
   their speech laws, their basic seriousness as allies — rose to its feet   
   for the Secretary of State. Not because he was soft. Because he was   
   better. The substance was harder than Vance, but the architecture was   
   masterful. Where Vance gave Europe a grievance to hide behind, Rubio   
   took it away.   
      
   And in doing so, he reimagined what the West could be...
