   As if you and I have any sense of when that might be or what it might   
   look like. People who know are saying more like 2050. Wanna bet on   
   that date?   
      
   But simply for me, I see no reason to think we are not already past   
   it. People with platforms would want to put the date out a ways to   
   give people a reason to think that they still have time to do as much   
   as they can whatever that is. Which, of course, we do have. We   
   simply lack the will to do any such thing. We would rather pretend,   
   ignore and deny.   
      
   It is like cig addiction. What will happen today if I have a cig   
   right now? Nothing, and the nagging hunger for nicotine will go away.   
   Maybe I won't live long enough to get cancer, heart disease, or   
   pulmonary problems, and all the worry would have been for nothing   
   anyway. So puff away, that's a relief.
