   In January earlier this year, local authorities were called to   
   the residence of major Democratic Party donor Ed Buck after   
   Timothy Dean was found not breathing in Buck’s Los Angeles home.   
      
   Dean’s death was ruled accidental by the Los Angeles County   
   Sheriff’s Department in March.   
      
   According to Buck’s attorney Seymour Amster, Dean and Buck had   
   been friends for more than 25 years and “Ed does have   
   individuals he associates with who have problems with drugs. He   
   tries to talk them out of it.”   
      
   However, Timothy Dean is not the only individual to have   
   overdosed in Buck’s residence.   
      
   According to CNN’s article, “Gemmel Moore, 26, was found dead at   
   Buck’s home on July 27, 2017. Moore’s death was ruled an   
   accidental methamphetamine overdose, the Department of Medical   
   Examiner – Coroner’s website says.”   
      
   The Los Angeles County District Attorney said the admissible   
   evidence was insufficient to prove beyond a reasonable doubt   
   that Buck was responsible for Moore’s death.   
      
   The CNN article delivers knowledge on the accidental deaths of   
   these two individuals and a wrongful death lawsuit that was   
   filed by Moore’s mother against Ed Buck who is 65 in February,   
   alleging that he injected her son with a lethal dose of crystal   
   methamphetamine.   
      
   One major portion of the article headlined, “Democratic Donor Ed   
   Buck charged with a felony for running a drug den” is missing,   
   in which states how much and to what Democrats Buck has   
   contributed money to.   
      
   CNN’s author covered that part of the article with a blanket   
   statement stating, “Buck has donated to a number of Democratic   
   candidates and PACs in recent years, according to information   
   from OpenSecrets…” but did not link where readers could find his   
   contributions.   
      
   During AIM’s own investigation, and according to OpenSecrets, we   
   found Ed Buck of West Hollywood gave thousands of dollars to   
   multiple well-known Democrats such as Sens. Krysten Sinema (D-   
   Ariz.), Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), and Reps. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.),   
   Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Susie Lee (D-Nev.) and presidential   
   candidate Hillary Clinton.
