   Job Description   
   We are an East Coast based consulting firm currently looking for a   
   Java/Enterprise Java software engineer for a major federal client local to   
   Washington DC. The successful candidate should have at least 7 years of   
   professional experience. This will be    
   challenging work on a mission-critical business system. Knowledge of 24/7   
   uptime systems and release procedures is desirable.   
   This position is also very flexible with regards to where the work is   
   performed from; staff on the project work from home post-COVID   
   The skill set required includes   
   •	Thorough familiarity with writing #Java code, creating Enterprise #Java   
   Beans and #servlets.   
   •	Thorough familiarity with #JBoss or similar Enterprise #Java server. The   
   candidate should be able to administer these servers.   
   •	Thorough familiarity with Web Services and development of web   
   applications; the candidate should be very familiar with Tomcat.   
   •	Experience with at least one major #RDBMS (#Oracle, #SQL Server, #DB2,   
   #MySQL)   
   •	Should be very familiar with complex SQL queries. Ability to use a   
   reporting tool is a considerable plus.   
   •	Should be familiar with #UNIX/LINUX, should know Shell scripts.   
   •	Excellent understanding of basic computer science concepts - parsing,   
   binary searches, linked lists, etc.   
   •	Ability to understand and address complex problems and systems.   
   •	Openness to learning new technologies.   
   Personal Traits   
   •	At least 7 years of industry experience   
   •	Driven and dedicated, looking for professional growth   
   •	Friendly, customer facing with good written and verbal communication skills   
   •	Java or other technical certification highly desired.   
   •	BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline required   
   •	Must be a US Citizen
