XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, alt.politics.trump       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: limp-dick.democrats@kamalaharris.com              Minnesota still punches above its weight in terms of Fortune 500 companies,       but it has one fewer on the list after Fortune released its 2023 rankings.              There are 15 companies in the Fortune 500 that are based in Minnesota, down       from 16 last year after St. Paul-based Securian dropped from 464th last year       to 567th this year following a 15.6% fall in revenue.              Health insurance giant UnitedHealth Group remains Minnesota's most valuable       company, ranking 5th overall nationally again with a revenue of $324.1 billion       – behind only Walmart, Amazon, Exxon Mobil, and Apple.              Retail giant Target is the second highest placed Minnesota company, dropping       one spot to 33rd with a revenue of $109 billion, while ag cooperative CHS Inc.       is 90th (up from 95th) and Best Buy is 94th (down from 68th).              Here's a look at Minnesota's Fortune 500 companies:              5: UnitedHealth Group Inc. (Rev: $324.1 billion; last year 5th)       33: Target Corp.(Rev: $109 billion; last year 32nd)       90: CHS Inc. (Rev: $47.7 billion; last year 95th)       94: Best Buy Co. Inc. (Rev: $46.2 billion; last year 68th)       116: 3M (Rev: $34.2 billion; last year 102nd)       149: U.S. Bancorp (Rev: $27.4 billion; last year 150th)       160: C.H. Robinson Worldwide (Rev: $24.6 billion; last year 154th)       213: Land O'Lakes (Rev: $19.2 billion; last year 232nd)       219: General Mills Inc. (Rev: $18.9 billion; last year 201st)       271: Xcel Energy Inc. (Rev: $15.3 billion; last year 278th)       289: Ameriprise Financial Inc. (Rev: $14.3 billion; last year 277th)       293: Ecolab Inc. (Rev: $14.1 billion; last year 293rd)       330: Hormel Foods Corp. (Rev: $12.4 billion; last year 327th)       412: Thrivent Financial (Rev: $9.3 billion; last year 351st)       424: Polaris Inc. (Rev: $8.9 billion; last year 419th)       As for Minnesota companies that fall just outside the Fortune 500, they are:              514: Fastenal (Rev: $6.98 billion; last year 525th)       533: APi Group (Rev: $6.56 billion; last year 701st)       536: Patterson (Rev: $6.5 billion; last year 529th)       547: Bright Health (Rev: $6.37 billion; last year 688th)       567: Securian (Rev: $6.17 billion; last year 464th)       654: Winnebago Industries (Rev: $4.95 billion; last year 737th)       694: Toro (Rev: $4.51 billion; last year 697th)       781: H.B. Fuller (Rev: $3.75 billion; last year 787th)       851: Donaldson (Rev: $3.3 billion; last year 861st)       885: Vista Outdoor (Rev: $3.04 billion; last year 975th)       912: Federated Mutual Insurance (Rev: $2.85 billion; last year 907th)       Sleep Number, which ranked 982nd in 2022, did not make the Top 1000 in this       year's list.              As the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal notes, the Fortune 500 list       doesn't include private companies, which means America's largest private       company – Minnesota-based Cargill – is not included.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-business/minnesota-has-15-c       mpanies-on-the-fortune-500-list-one-fewer-than-last-year              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
