Courtesy of Hennepin County Jail via Bloomington Police       Department.              Lavon Longstreet, 19, is also charged in the case with aiding and abetting       intentional 2nd-degree murder. His next court appearance is scheduled for       Friday.              Hudson was shot eight times as he tried to escape. Surveillance footage       captured the suspects corralling Hudson inside the store and eventually       shooting him at point blank range while standing over the teenager.              Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said in a statement Thursday the       sentence length was "appropriate to sufficiently protect public safety."              “My thoughts today are with the victims’ loved ones as they try to heal       from such a devastating loss. Mr. Adams-Wright engaged in gun violence that       endangered the lives of countless people as they enjoyed their day at the Mall       of America. A long        prison sentence is appropriate to sufficiently protect public safety," she       said.              Longstreet was 17 years old at the time of the shooting. After the shooting,       Longstreet fled the state with his mother and was later arrested in Georgia.       Moriarty at the time filed a motion to certify him as an adult in the case.              According to the criminal complaints, holiday shoppers and employees at the       store were seen on surveillance footage ducking for cover. One woman, who fell       to the ground and took cover with her daughter during the shooting, was grazed       by a bullet.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/teen-sentenced-to-30-y       ars-for-fatal-shooting-in-nordstrom-at-mall-of-america              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
