While I could really care less about which system is better, I do have a
question here aimed at anyone with decent familiarity with both systems,
which I will get to in a minute.

I used several different C64s a lot in school back in the day, and one C128.
I was very young at the time, so I never really did much with them, but my
school let me do whatever I wanted on them so long as I didn't screw with
their disks (I remember playing around with "Logo Robot" for HOURS! Is there
a version of this available for the Atari, or was it strictly a C64 thing?).

My introduction to computers was with an Atari 800 my dad had bought
sometime in '80, so it was the machine I monkied around with more than
anything. I learned BASIC & Assembly on it and never got too deep into C64.
These days, I still have my Dad's old 800, and the 130XE he bought later on.
Of the 2, I use the 130XE all the time.

I picked up a C128 in a garage sale a while back for almost nothing, and, to
be perfectly honest, about the only thing I remembered how to do with it was
kick it into C64 mode. Had my dad owned a Commodore machine instead of an
Atari, I would probably be a Commodore user/collector. The C128 is still
sitting in the closet gathering dust. Hasn't even been turned on since I
   bought it.

Anyways, I don't know much about all the different BASICs available for the
C64 (a quick google search led me to a page with a SHITLOAD of different
   ones. wow.).

On to the question: So Simon's BASIC is supposedly fast as hell, eh? How
does it compare to Turbo BASIC XL (my favorite flavor on the Atari)? Each
   have their respective compilers.

Now, just so nobody gets the wrong idea, I'm not trying to discredit either
machine or Peter. I'm just asking a question.
