   I agree with your position.   
      
   However, at the rick of getting off-topic, I just completed a search for   
     a personal media device, and I chose the iPod.  While there may be   
   some other variants with more technology and/or features, there are more   
   peripherals/accessories for the iPod, the user interface cannot be   
   matched (I tried a ton of them), and the size is definitely a selling   
   point.  I can see why tons of people buy it because their friends have   
   one, and that may drive the accessories, but I am not a sheep, I bought   
   it because it works well, has nice features, and the user interface is   
   the best of the ones I tried.
