Well, Mark, obviously I disagree. Sure, selling *only* C64's would be
stupid, but selling a decent new C64, with a new hardware design or
whatever, would be possible. Yeahronimo does recognize the power that
concept has still today, otherwise why play the nostalgia card at CeBIT?

Since the demise of Commodore, a lot of users single-handedly came with
great ideas and projects that made possible for the C64 to complete many
simple current tasks, such as reading e-mail or surfing the Internet. All
the new Commodore would have to do is capitalize what others have thought
   and done already.

The DTV sold well beyond expectations, and still those units were far from
being the perfect upgrade - think of the many flaws exposed in both the
NTSC and PAL versions. There are many ways to upgrade the old C64 concept,
keep it as a small computer as it was, and make it work for children or "old
children" like us. I believe a small profitable market niche could exist.
