   I do like your ideas, Sam. I think it would be more inexpensive to build a   
   computer relying on a modern flash memory card, instead of using the drives,   
   with some software able to manipulate the data into a C64 native format -   
   there is already, actually.   
      
   After all, a real computer after the DTV project would be something nice   
   already. The technology is there. It's a C64 with some graphical   
   improvements, it has backward compatibility to older peripherals...Threw in   
   a compact flash slot and a network card, and make it fit a well designed   
   keyboard...
