From: nobody@mixmaster.it              By John Kidman       March 19, 2006              Department of Corrective Services Assistant Commissioner Luke Grant       said many jail sentences being dealt out to child pornographers were       too short to allow sufficient time for rehabilitation.              That opinion was mirrored in a judge's sentencing of a Perth man for       possession of child pornography.              Simon Scott of 48 Ackland received a mere 10 day jail sentence. Many of the       others involved received simple fines.              Scott was one of only 11 to receive jail time out of over 100 people.       The operation began two years ago and was dubbed Operation Auxin.              Department of Corrective Services Assistant Commissioner Luke Grant said many       jail sentences being dealt out to child pornographers were too short to allow       sufficient time for rehabilitation.              Picture of Simon Scott              http://img229.imageshack.us/my.php?image=style6cq.jpg              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
