There are declining numbers of people in the United States as you move
westward in the Commodore community that are actively still using the
Commodore 8-Bits. It is not to say that their isn't people but there are
more people actively involved with the Commodore community in the mid-west
to east coast. Think about all the people doing stuff for the Commodore in
the United States and note where they live.

For some reason, it is still strong in the mid-west. It may have to be
coincidence of certain individuals leaving in the area keeping the community
alive. It is also the heartland of hobbyists including those who make
rockets and what nots. The midwest seems to be the heartland for hobbyist
kinds of stuff and subsequently - even Commodore. Most in the US are in the
Central Time Zone and Eastern Time Zone.
