Oh, so your breadbox C64 is one of the first revisions with only
composite video output (5-pin DIN). My breadbox has a 8-pin DIN,
but it must be a bit newer in production.

Not sure, but the pinout on your old C64 is:

    __ __ 1 = Monochrome/Luminance
    / v \ 2 = GND
   |3 1| 3 = Audio out
   | 5 4 | 4 = Composite Video out
    \__2__/ 5 = Audio in

It means you should use pins 3,4 and ground (2) in a cable with
only two RCA connectors. This cable will also work with your C64C,
but not give quite as sharp picture as the other cable. On the
other hand, this kind of cable should also work with your VIC-20,
most Atari 8-bit computers, Spectravideo SVI-318 and perhaps a few
more systems following the "American standard" as I think it is
called. I haven't tried it myself on non-Commodore computers, but
based it on pinouts found on the Internet.
