   Except for the few machines that the engineering department was using as   
   doorstops, Commodore donated the rest to charity.  I would guess that those   
   in working condition were sold through the charities outlet stores, and the   
   rest deposited in landfills to be smashed to pieces by the tracks on   
   bulldozers.
