   Certainly not to the extent Gates did, but without Tramiel's   
   cut-throat business acumen I probably wouldn't have had such a great   
   machine to nurture my computing interests with before I was 10.  If my   
   parents had gotten me an Apple ][ I'd probably have just decided to   
   dig ditches or flip hamburgers all my life. :-)
