   One of Jack Tramiel's stated goals was to "Bring computers to the masses, not   
   the classes." The IBM PC's of that era were much too expensive for the   
   average middle class family. Jack marketed computers that were affordable to   
   even the lower middle class.   
      
   Video games is not what is important here. Computers are much more important   
   than video games. Please keep in mind that this thread was crossposted. Two   
   of the newsgroups involved are Commodore groups. Be aware that computers   
   rule!

   Video games are good for a little fun, much like hula hoops and other toys.   
   Computers are useful in the real world. Being an expert Pac-Man player is   
   useless on your resume. Having computer skills is useful.
