Once again, you are conveniently forgetting that Atari was losing money hand
over fist when Jack took over. Within two years, Jack had turned Atari
around and Atari was making a profit again. Why do you ignore facts when
they do not agree with what you want to think?

As a footnote, both Atari and Commodore went bankrupt later on. There has
been a lot of discussion about what killed Commodore, and I am sure that
there has been a lot of discussion about what killed Atari also. I doubt
that Irving Gould killed Commodore intentionally, just as I doubt that Jack
   Tramiel killed Atari on purpose.

As technology changed rapidly the computer market changed also. Both
Commodore and Atari failed to follow the changes in the marketplace. The
flame of both companies sputtered and went out.

Perhaps Jack did kill Commodore. Without competition from the ST the Amiga
might have been successful enough to kill Apple. And, instead of having PC's
and Apples today we would have PC's and Amiga's. Oh well, it is too late to
   go back and rewrite history.
