From: mwohlauer@yahoo.de              Some further cons have been mentioned in Forum64 (*). For many users       there the most difficult part seems to acutally get the       hardware-schematics and specifications for production, and furthermore       some parts may never be produced again in the same manner and quality as       MOS did. And even then, it might be to expensive to produce them as the       quantities probably won't be very high, so the effort may be to high in       comparison to the actual results.              But never the less I think this would be somewhat great, as otherwise       spareparts will definitly vanish some day, and then it will end with       some lonely C64 in some glassvitrins, with only one purpose: to rott       there forever! And thats something I'd find rather crappy.              (*) Acutal thread to this topic (in german):              http://www.forum64.de/wbb3/board314-computer/board2-c64-alles-ru       d-um-den-brotkasten/board3-allgemein/40779-abkaufen-von-commodor       -hardware-lizenzen/              Regards,               Martin.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
