   To be perfectly honest, drinking that much full-sugar cola in a day does
   look like a craving for sugar, and whether or not you can stop at any
   time may be neither here nor there; everyone's different. I guess you'd
   have to ask your doctor to be certain, first making sure he/she is fully
   aware of how much you consume (no fudging to make it sound like less ;
   )), what else and how much you eat/drink in a day, and how much exercise
   of which kinds you regularly get so he/she can form a reasoned opinion
   based on that as well as your medical history and general state of health.

   Aaah, but the difference is, cola has lots and lots of sugar (ask
   yourself if you would sit down and eat a half pound of granulated sugar
   by itself over a day) -- which has substantial effects, not always
   positive, on virtually all bodily functions -- whereas water is pretty
   much just water.
