   Actually, what Jolly Roger said might also be the case.   
      
   They may be ignorant, but more likely, they're just driven by   
   illogical emotion.   
      
   Did you ever see a woman scream that a snake or spider or bee   
   was nearby, where you just calmly killed (or captured) that snake,   
   spider, or bee instead of going bonkers over the perceived threat?   
      
   That could be what's happening here.   
      
   Those who are driven by sheer emotion, someone, intuitively "feel"   
   that cellphone use absolutely *must* be dangerous. And, they eat   
   up all the studies that purport to show that (just as I can show   
   study after study that snakes & spiders & bees are dangerous).   
      
   The fact that the overall accident rate doesn't back up their   
   emotions doesn't faze them, because they're not driven by facts.   
      
   They're driven by emotions.   
      
   So, they only *appear* to be stupid.   
   But, in reality, as Jolly Roger said, they're not actually stupid.   
   They just don't think to find real support for their fears.
