   octane rated fuel.   
      
   The manufacturer specifies the fuel to handle *all* conditions; but,   
   if you know that you're not knocking (you have to poll the DME   
   to know this), then you also know you don't need the higher octane   
   fuel.   
      
   Plus, engines that don't knock on, say, 87AKI, can't possibly   
   benefit from, say, 91AKI.   
      
   This is stuff many people don't understand.
