The *timing* is another issue you have to talk yourself       out of.              The timing of cellphone ownership doesn't show one bit in       the data.              Fancy that.              So, not only do the *numbers* not show up in the real data,       but the timing of the numbers doesn't show up.              That's two key nails in the coffin of the argument that       cellphone ownership has any effect whatsoever on the overall       accident rate in the USA.              Remember, I'm *looking* for good data because "I" believe       that there should be *something* (anything!) indicating that       cellphone "use" is distracting enough to cause increased       accidents.              However, the good data shows there is no increase in accidents.       Nobody can escape seeing the elephant in the room.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
