   > Nope.

   Yep.

   > The *timing* is another issue you have to talk yourself out of.

No talking out of involved. You have no idea about
the timing of when enough stupid enough to talk
on their phones while driving happened.

   > The timing of cellphone ownership
   > doesn't show one bit in the data.

   Cellphone ownership is completely irrelevant.

The ONLY thing that matters is TALKING
   ON THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING.

   > Fancy that.

   > So, not only do the *numbers*

You have no numbers with TALKING ON THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING.

No one said anything about OWNERSHIP except you.

What matters is TALKING ON THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING.

   > Remember, I'm *looking* for good data because "I" believe

   > cellphone "use" is distracting enough to cause increased accidents.

Not when its swamped by the dramatic reduction in accidents
due to better road design, particularly fully divided highways etc.

   > However, the good data shows there is no increase in accidents.

Because the accident rate is swamped by the dramatic reduction in accidents
due to better road design, particularly fully divided highways etc.

   > Nobody can escape seeing the elephant in the room.

There is no elephant and no room either.

Just your ignorance of the most basic statistics and
the complete lack of any real stats on how many are
actually stupid enough to talk on the phone will driving.

Even those convicted of doing that isn't very useful
because it is impossible to separate out how much
emphasis the cops put on catching people doing
that and how much of it happens anyway.
