   Nobody has good data on how many people are *using* them while   
   driving (although there was tons of essentially useless anecdotal   
   testimony in this thread).   
      
   The fact remains, if cellphones are as dangerous as the studies   
   propose, and if people are using them in any appreciable way   
   while driving, then the accidental rate must rise precipitously.   
      
   That the accident rate shows nothing, simply means that what   
   many think is happening, isn't happening at all.   
      
   That's all I ever said.   
   I base my statements on observation of good data.
