   It is never safe to blindly trust authority of any kind. That's not the   
   point. The OP posted an article about how California courts are   
   prohibiting officers from searching cell phones without a warrant, and   
   others here talked as if that was some sort of reason to avoid living   
   there. That seems silly to me. Personally I'd rather live somewhere   
   where my rights are more protected than someplace else.
